Meeting with Deputy Minister of Tourism of Cyprus

The World Exhibition Expo 2020 Dubai managed to bring 192 countries to the world stage, making it the largest Expo so far by the number of participants, which is why the organizers expect a response of up to 25 million visitors. The aim of Expo 2020 Dubai is to encourage global creativity and create opportunities for new partnerships for the purpose of common progress.

The Deputy Minister of Tourism of Cyprus, Mr. Savvas Perdios visited the Croatian Pavilion on November 2nd, 2021, and attended a meeting with the Director of the Croatian Pavilion, Mr. Jasmin Devlić. The potential of co-operation between the two countries in the field of tourism was discussed at the meeting, taking into account that both countries aspire to become year-round tourist destinations. Also, both countries want to encourage tourists to visit inland destinations as well, not just those in coastal areas. In conclusion, experiences on the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the tourist season were also exchanged at the meeting.

Numerous countries have decided to create new partnerships and future collaborations at the World Exhibition when it comes to tourism and the promotion of desirable tourist destinations. Since the Republic of Croatia is already recognized as a country with a long tourist tradition and as one of the most important tourist destinations in the Mediterranean, it is not surprising that visitors who come to the Croatian Pavilion seek information and advice for their trip to Croatia.
